Home to Colligan's Stockton Inn, originally built in 1710 as a private home then converted into a hotel in the 1830's. The Stockton Inn still serves travelers. Stockton was the home of John Deats, inventor of the Deats plow and corn sheller. Visit the Prallsville Mill area, which dates to the early 1700's. The Delaware River Mill Society was formed recently to preserve and promote these historic buildings. The area included a gristmill, a granary, a linseed oil mill, a sawmill and a stable which houses the offices of the Delaware and Raritan Canal Commission.
